There are many common platform issues that can be fixed by simply clearing your web browser's cache. Basically, sometimes there's a difference between the version of a website "cached (stored) on your computer and the version that you're loading live from the website. This conflict can lead to weird glitches and clearing your cache can sometimes quickly resolve the issue.

Clearing your Cache

Depending on the web browser that you're using, there are different steps to take in order to clear your computer's internet cache. 

Google Chrome

  1. Click the Tools menu (three dotted lines in the upper-right corner).
  2. Select History from the dropdown.
  3. Select Clear Browsing Data from the left-hand side.
  4. Set the Time Range to All Time.
  5. Check-mark Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
  6. Select Clear Data.
  7. Final step:
    • Windows: If on a Windows computer, close and re-open Chrome to save your changes.
    • Mac: If on an Apple computer, go to the Chrome menu on the top menu bar and select Quit for the changes to take effect.

Safari for MacOS

  1. Click on Safari on the top menu bar.
  2. Click on Preferences.
  3. Click on the Privacy tab.
  4. Click on Manage Website Data.
  5. Click on Remove All.
  6. Click on Remove Now.
  7. Go to the Safari menu on the top menu bar.
  8. Select Quit to close Safari and save your changes.

Microsoft Edge for Windows 10

  1. Click on the Tools menu (three dotted lines in upper-right corner) and open the Settings menu.
  2. Click Privacy, search, and services on the left-side menu.
  3. Under the section Clear browsing data, Click Choose what to clear.
  4. Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
  5. Click Clear Now.
  6. Close Microsoft Edge completely for your changes to take effect.

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click on the Firefox in the menu.
  2. Click on Options (Windows) or Preferences (Mac).
  3. On the menu to the left, select Privacy & Security.
  4. Under the Cookies and Site Data option, click the Clear Data.
  5. Select both of the two options and click on Clear.
  6. Final step:
    • Windows: If on a Windows computer, close and re-open Firefox to save your changes.
    • Mac: If on an Apple computer, go to the Firefox menu on the top menu bar and select Quit for the changes to take effect.
